Jim
Jim has had a checkered past when it comes to his music, but that’s only because he couldn’t find a good pinstripe. He’s earned a diploma in Church Music, a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education/Music and a Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy (they revoked the degree in Underwater Basket Weaving). Later, Jim decided to stop before he had more degrees than a thermometer and actually started practicing music, hoping one day he’d be good enough to perform.
After years of being tethered to an organ grinder, wearing a pillbox hat and carrying a tin cup, Jim felt he had paid his dues. so he sang with the Grand Park Symphony Chorus and with some small professional opera companies in the Chicago area as well as many and sundry other performance opportunities too numerous to mention. He is currently a member of the Garden Club and the Merry Maskers vocal ensembles. Jim doesn’t sing opera in in 4-AM, at least not that anyone can prove, but they’re keeping on eye on him, constantly, as they should.
